Area Director - Smith Hall

Hi I'm Smith.

I'm from Virginia but get to call Pittsburgh home now! I have a degree in Spanish and International Studies from Grove City, and was able to find a passion in outreach during my time there! I am the current Area Director of Pine-Richland Young Life, but most importantly I am a Young Life leader in the community! I was impacted from a young age by people in my life who helped shape who I am today, and now I get to pay that forward! My interests include music and just about anything outdoors. Young Life leaders are volunteers who show up where kids already are, building real friendships and walking alongside them as they explore faith and life.

Ellie

Hi all! I've been leading Young Life at PR since 2023 and recently graduated from Pitt's Business School, beginning my first full-time job in Industrial Sales. I love spending time with PR students who have become such dear friends to me!

Morgan

Hey there! I’m from Pittsburgh and I lead because I had an amazing Youth Group leader who had such a big impact on my faith...and now I get to pay that forward! My hobbies include music and instruments, baking, reading, and whatever my new hobby of the month is (ask me about it, I promise I have one)

Lauren

I’m from Wexford and a former PR grad currently studying pharmacy at Pitt. I lead because my Young Life leaders in high school showed me a welcoming community and who Jesus really is. I love to spend time with friends, family, and baking, especially sourdough.

Elizabeth

Hi! I’m a sophomore at Pitt and I’m from Montgomery County, PA (right outside of Philly)! I love to run, bake, and just doing anything outside. I lead because of how God has changed my life and I want to be a light to high school students and share His love!

Alex

Hey! I have led at PR for 4 years now and am currently in grad school at Pitt working towards Early Childhood Education and Special Education degrees. I love all Pittsburgh sports, working out, and spending time with friends. I lead because I love getting to see how the Lord works in the lives of these kids!

Ryan

Hey! I am a senior at Pittsburgh for Secondary Education. I'm a die hard Pirates fan and played baseball growing up. You need to know that dogs are better than cats and country music is the best genre. I lead because I know the personal impact that leaders have had in my life during high school and now I get to pay that forward.

Committee

The Committee is a team of local adults who support and guide Young Life in our area through prayer, leadership, and community connections. Young Life is making a difference in the lives of kids in Pine-Richland because they are supported by adults who care about kids in our community. This committee is composed of parents, Young Life alumni and other leaders providing a foundation of strategic, financial, administrative and moral support for the local Young Life team.
